Fender Stratocaster
The guitar that has gotten the most use, I got this around 1991. It's
a Mexican Strat and I've replaced the lead pickup with a Dimarzzio Stack Humbucker and installed a coil tap, so I can run
it either single or double coil.
Gibson "The Paul"
The second most used guitar, this is my first and only Gibson. A little
noisy, but a nice neck. Had a lot of set up work done on it, as my experience with Gibsons is the nut is usually set up too high,
and the frets on the neck stuck out with the changes of the season, so they had to be filed down. Plays like a dream, could
stay in tune better, but I love the guitar.
Ovation UKII
I owned one of these before, and to me it is the "Holy Grail" of guitars.
I got this in May of 2003. Dual humbuckers with taps, gold hardware, bound neck, plays beautifully, and a full two octave
neck. Very under valued guitars. Got this for 325.00 at Mr. Mark Music in Anoka, MN.
Squier "Artisan" Telecaster
The cheapest of the cheap, this plays well and sounds twangy enough
for me. Have played out with it and it does okay. Limited applications for me, but I've always wanted one.

Ibanez SD Bass
I don't know the exact model number, but this is a really nice bass with dual humbuckers
and active electronics. Very clean for recording (which is all I use it for pretty much.) Thin Fender Jazz type neck, very
easy to play.
Crafter TD06
Solid spruce top, solid mahogany back, a beautiful well made instrument.
Loaded with an LL Baggs active bridge pickup. I use this on my acoustic gigs and record with it extensively.
Ovation Matrix
I got this one in 1980 after saving up a summer to buy my first
good guitar. It was 250.00 and I bought it at Musicland. I wanted an Ovation because Cat Stevens played one. It served me
for many years, and I eventually sold it for money around 1992, and recently bought it back. It has sentimental value, but
really no monetary value
Other Stuff
CRATE VINTAGE CLUB 1X12 30 WATTS- The first and only tube amp I have ever owned. Wonderfully warm clean. Smal
Squier 15 watt practice amp, and a Behringer 45 watt acoustic amp that works well as a small travelling practice amp.
My bass amps are a Peavey head of unknown origing, 200 watts, and a small Ampeg 45 watt.
BEHRINGER 8 CHANNEL BOARD - For use with my project studio. Two effects loops, phantom power, very clean.
OLD AKG MICS - I've got a matched set of dynamic mics from AKG that are over 20 years old, but work great for
stage. Very good for voice or for miking amps.
V-TECH DYNAMIC MICS - The world's best 20.00 microphones, they work pretty well for miking drums and amps.
AKG 1000S - Expensive but nice mike for voice and guitar. Used it extensively for recording, but a
little to "hot" for stage.
MXL 990 CONDENSER - A great vocal mic and very inexepensive, about 70.00. Requires 48V phantom power. The 990
is a true, phantom powered, condenser microphone with a 6 micron, 20 mm. gold-sputtered diaphragm. I use it exclusively now
for recording vocals.
STARION DRUM KIT WITH ZILDJIAN CYMBALS, GIBRALTER FOOT PEDAL.
I record on Magix Music Studio 7, a 32 track PC recorder now. I used to use a Tascam Porta-One for years.
I recently acquired a little Tascam mini studio which is a fully functional digital four track with built in condensors. It
is really nice to take on trips and to do demos.
My PA is a Behringer which is surprisingly versatile which works great for rehearsing and the small
gigs I do, I've got 2 12's with horns and 15" subs from Rogue and two mismatched monitors, one Squier and one from Rogue. I
also own a Crate PA-8 which is on loan to my church now. Lastly, I have a six channel Peavey which may or may not work still.
It is some huge wattage but high impedance imputs and not overly useful.
Other instruments I own are a mandolin, dulcimer, various percussion, and I make extensive use of a Boss Dr.
Rhythm drum machine - one of the old ones.
Well, that's my gear story. I will supplement one day with neat pictures.

1. Global Les Paul Copy: Bought from Montgomery Wards through their catalog.
2. Kay electric: Had all kinds of switches and knobs and things, never played well.
3. Ovation Viper: Blonde guitar and a Cherry finished one, I've owned two of these beautiful solid body electrics,
one was traded and one was sold.

it because I needed money in 1990.
5. Unknown 3/4 acoustic: My first guitar bought from Musicland for 35.00. Did a lot of writing and recording with
it. Sold it for 25.00 after I had had it for about three years.
6. Classical Guitar, Solid Top, Unknown Origin: What I got for the UKII, sold it a couple years later on consignment.
7. Memphis 1/2 sized bass: My first bass, had a broken headstock, but used it for a lot of recording. Gave
it to my sister.
8. Gremlin 3/4 bass: My second bass, used it for about three years until I got the Ibanez about a year ago.
